About Us

TSDRC has traditionally been a term loosely associated with the people who have either graduated from or connected with or been influenced by T S Dufferin (1927 to 1972), T S Rajendra (1972 to 1993) or T S Chanakya (1993 onwards) – three prominent educational institutes, run by the Government of India, producing qualified individuals who have been and continue to be a part of the maritime industry.

The TSDRC graduates and those from various other key institutes (like MERI) alongside key significant participants, like ship owners, managers, bankers, tax specialists, private equity players, insurers, lawyers, shipyards, port operators and the civil servants have made and continue to make tangible contributions towards reforming the Indian maritime sector in their respective capacities over the decades.

This platform recognises the variety of these participants which form the maritime community in India and provides a common place for all ranging from cadets to Master Mariners to ship owners, ship managers, shipyards, tax experts, financiers, private equity players, civil servants and lawyers in the maritime and transport sector, to share and exchange thoughts, views and opinions on issues which may touch upon their personal and professional lives. At the same time this will be a platform for innovation for tomorrow.
